I was introduced to Sam from Ariana (aka becoming-mom) and as soon as I saw him I was
drawn in. I am not sure why...maybe because his infectious
smile reminds me so much of Cooper or it could be his little bit of hair styled up into a little
faux hawk like I do to Coopers. Whatever it is - I can't
stop thinking about him and his family. You see...
Sam was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk
Neuroblastoma. The cure rate for Sam's cancer 30%.
Sam is in for 6 rounds of Chemo, surgeries, possible radiation and two stem cell transplants. He has had a central line placed which has been giving him nothing but trouble. Talk aout
Just.Not.Fair.Even though Sam and his family live 100's of miles away near Louisville, Ky and
Even Though I have never met them my heart aches.
I have decided there is in fact a
club we join once we become Mom's. No matter
who, what or
where we have a bond with other Mom's. We
cry, cheer, laugh and
celebrate with other Mom's. And thanks to the
wonders of the Internet and social media we have never even met these Mom's.
So if you get a chance
check out Sam's moms blog: The
Sartins. It is in my blog list. You can also
click on the button on the right side of my blog to
donate to Sam. And please, please, please
PRAY for Sam.
